How TurfBookings handles your data — last updated June 2026.
TurfBookings (a Bora Technologies product) connects players with local sports venues. We keep the data we collect to the minimum a booking needs, and we never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your phone number — to sign you in with a one-time code and to tie your bookings to you across devices.
- Your name — shown to the venue so they know who's playing.
- Your email — optional; used only if you choose to add it (e.g. for receipts).
- Booking details — the venue, court, date, time, and amount of each slot you book.
- Basic technical data — standard request information (device/browser, approximate timing) needed to run the service securely.
We do not store your card or UPI details — payments are handled by the venue's payment provider (e.g. Razorpay) or paid directly to the venue.
How we use it
- To create, hold, and confirm your bookings.
- To sign you in (the one-time code) and show your booking history.
- To send booking-related updates and confirmations.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse (e.g. double-booking, fraud).
Who we share it with
- The venue you book — your name, phone, and slot details, so they can host you.
- Payment providers — only what's needed to process a payment you initiate.
- No one else. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Payments
Your payment goes directly to the venue — TurfBookings adds zero commission on the venue's price. Card and UPI processing is handled by the payment provider under their own terms and privacy policy.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your bookings as long as your account is active or as needed for the venue's records. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time — email hello@turfbookings.com and we'll action it.
On-device storage
We store a secure sign-in token and a small booking cache in your browser so you stay signed in and your cart survives a refresh. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.
